A Guide for the Lazy Man
PDF by Joe Karbo
The Lazy Man's Way to Riches is a guide for the idle rich, as they say. The idea is that if you have plenty of money and
can afford to throw it away, you might as well learn to do it right. The author, Joe Karbo, has supposedly achieved this
impressive state of affairs. He says he sold his last business for $275,000 and has been coasting ever since, just watching
his money grow. He also says he made about $1,000,000 in one year from investing in orchards with a friend of his.
But more importantly, Karbo says he was able to do all this without ever really working. He attributes his success
to The Four Hour Work Week, by Timothy Ferriss, which he says is the "Biggest Money Saving, Saving Time Book in
History."
Sounds plausible, except for one thing: He's confused the concepts of "work" and "work week." The book is
not about actually working in four hours per week. It is about watching the same TV shows and spending your time in
chores and meetings. It is about spending your time and money on things like buying a house and raising children. And
it is about lying to yourself about how much work you actually have to do. Karbo even recommends trying to find a way
to work less than four hours per week by giving your coworkers your own salary and telling them that you be359ba680
